Tom Petty, Rock Iconoclast Who Led the Heartbreakers, Dead at 66

Quote:Tom Petty, the dynamic and iconoclastic frontman who led the band the Heartbreakers, died Monday. He was found unconscious, not breathing and in full cardiac arrest at his Malibu home Sunday night, according to TMZ, and rushed to the hospital and placed on life support. EMTs were able to find a pulse when they found him, but TMZ reported that the hospital found no brain activity when he arrived. A decision was made to pull life support. CBS confirmed Petty's death. He was 66.

Damn...

They are dropping like flies...

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

Unfortunately...

Here we go again and again and again...

Believe me i realize famous and talented people are not invincible...

But too young to die to just drop dead...

Immediately arouses my ominous suspicions...

But anyways...

Heres whats probably my favorite song by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers...

That's not that so old, but he had a career that lasted way longer than most. He always sounded like a poor mans Bob Dylan to me.
