Philip Seymour Hoffman Found Dead at 46

Quote:Academy Award winner Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his New York City apartment on Sunday. He was 46.

The official cause of death is still unknown at this point, however, the police confirm to "The Insider With Yahoo" that he may have died of a suspected overdose, as he was found with a needle in his arm. Police also confirm that apparent heroin was found at the scene.

How sad. I have long considered him one of the best actors in Hollyweird.

I am speaking of the life of a man who knows that the world is not given by his fathers, but borrowed from his children; who has undertaken to cherish it and do it no damage, not because he is duty-bound, but because he loves the world and loves his children… - Wendell Berry, 1971

Along with the 2008 movie Synecdoche New York i posted above heres another one of his great performances...

Quote:Time magazine's Richard Schickel named the film one of the top 10 films of 2007, ranking it at #3, saying "At one level the movie is a wonderfully intricate exploration of family dysfunction. At another, it's a coolly controlled examination of increasingly insane criminal ineptitude. Either way you look at it, this is a hypnotizing film from one of our great masters." Roger Ebert gave the film four out of four stars, calling it "superb" and its director, Sidney Lumet, a "living treasure"
