Transhumanism - Would You Become Human+?

interesting video about transhumanism.

i think i wouldn't do it.

don't want to get all religious now but it's interesting that we still want to do the "bad stuff" from the bible. we want to create an artificial intelligence that would be like a god to us (golden calf). we want to become immortal (genesis apple stuff). etc etc. transhumanism seems to be the accumulation of all those "evil" dreams.^^

edit: lol.gif just when i wrote this kurzweil said "does god exist? well i would say not yet."

If we survive and progress far enough into a technologically advanced distant future humanity will eventually merge with machines and transform into some type of cybornetic civilization that is if the dark age plagues of organized religions dont dsestroy us first...

Well I suppose we can decide upon a future of either being ruled by robots and cyborgs or being burnt at the stake by popes and beheaded by muslims?!

I think we can develop really advanced technology without evolving considerably on a spiritual level and without that we're just more likely to find better ways to kill each other.
