Trump jumps in: The Donald's latest White House run is officially on

The real estate mogul and TV reality star launched his presidential campaign Tuesday, ending more than two decades of persistent flirtation with the idea of running for the Oval Office.

"So, ladies and gentlemen, I am officially running for president of the United States, and we are going to make our country great again," Trump told the crowd, in a lengthy and meandering speech that hit on his signature issues like currency manipulation from China and job creation, as well as taking shots at the president and his competitors on the Republican side.

It might work better than how it is now but with 3 bankruptcies behind him, his track record is sorta shabby.

eta Oops, 4 bankruptcies

He's manages to come up smelling like roses and most of the bankruptcies were related to his Atlantic City mistakes. If he can keep away from the urge to make the U.S. money via casinos, then it might be okay. chuckle.gif

Trump has never filed for personal bankruptcy only corporate - he remains a billionaire. So, if he can run the country as he does his personal finances, I am guessing he has many good strategies for keeping everything afloat.

How about this for his campaign quip:

I'll treat your tax dollars as if they were my own.

We need a bit more than afloat at the moment. Some serious cuts in the deficit need to be made. One can not spend their way to prosperity.

Jeesh. How many clowns can fit into the GOP car?

Some of them might consider the DEM ticket. After all, the competition is a helluva lot better ~ just Shrillary of We Be Crime, the former mayor of (ahem) Baltimore/gov of Maryland who cannot keep his shirt on and taxes rain plus the dude who thinks we have too much choice in deodorant and want to be raped and of course, the other who wants us on the metric system.

Anyone running over there would be a shoe-in.

It really doesn't matter WHICH party gets elected...does it?

I don't think it matters who gets in. Once they are in, it's business as usual.

Think about that for a minute. Is someone who bankrupts everybody but himself who you'd want in charge?

Then, what would change exactly?

Trump basks in the glow of the media spotlight. I can't even take him seriously as a viable candidate, he's like a parody of himself somehow... blink.gif
