Trump's greatest move yet...by far

Yesterday, Congress thought they were going to get away with a fast one and pull the wool over the public's eye with a weak immigration policy that would fail to stem the tide resulting in many millions of more immigrants into the US.

Even Trump acted like he was going to go along with it.

Then he sprung the most masterful surprise ever pulled by a president: he put the politicians into one of two camps. Either they support the shithole countries or they don't.

The entire issue has been reframed with two words and it also destroyed the planned effort to slip-slide into an America that turned the country over to a bunch of poorly educated foreigners who come here via a sham lottery or through chain migration. Chain migration turns one poor uneducated foreigner moving here into 10 and then 100.

After Trump's brilliant move, Congress has had the rug pulled out from under them. How do they explain to their constituents their support for shithole nations dumping their worst over here?

Winner by a knock out: President Donald Trump!

He told the truth.
What I see going on is Democrats are using the shithole comments as distraction’ and ‘excuse’ to avoid talks.
They are so lame, no plans to work out anything on a bipartisan basis, and instead are playing the same old stale identity politics Obummer and company used to divide everyone.

Some Democrat politicians are in such dumb shithole districts that they can still criticize Trump's label. OTOH, any Republican who doesn't catch on quick to what Trump just did could be in major trouble. Contested districts are also vulnerable.

What Trump did was so masterful it's hard to think of the proper superlatives. Did he plan this trap, or did he come up with it on the spur of the moment? Because he'd indicated before he was open to the huge loopholes that were being proposed. Was that a ruse? If it was, there might not have ever been a more magnificent chess gambit ever played in politics since the King in Braveheart tossed the fey boyfriend of his son out the window.

If he thought of it on the fly, it's still friggin' amazing.

Let me add that prior to Thursday's reframe by Trump, the two sides were thought of as members of "The Inclusives" vs. "The Xenophobes." Guess who wins that argument? Guess who could use that positioning to further weaken our sovereignty by flooding America with folks who have never heard of our Founding Fathers or the Constitution?

Now the two sides are divided along "Pro-shithole countries" and "Pro-America." Guess who wins that debate! Guess who gets defeated if they choose to align themselves with the "shithole countries" over the US? Any Republican and some Democrats.

In less than a second, Trump has altered the argument for a generation.
