Profound and haunting songs like this beautifully heartbroken melody written and performed by real singer song writers with multi instrumental abilities singing and writing and playing about their real feelings ascended from the depths of their souls that we all can emotionally relate to upon multiple levels has gone just about extinct and thats exactly why the vast majority of new music lately just plain and simply sux in comparison because evermore people are becoming evermore fake imitations...

Never ceases to amaze me how so many of our favorite songs are just like magical time machines instantly teleporting us back into another place in time and space (*-*)

I mean in all seriousness like what else is there but popular music and songs that have the profound ability to instantly teleport our thoughts and memories back into a certain place in time and space that once again seems so real and alive?! does food?! no maybe clothing?! no how about sunshine?! no perhaps cars?! well kinda but not nearly as much well then how about human faces that we havent seen in a long time?! yeah a little but once again not really nearly as much so there could exist strange unknown mystical bio rhythms within our bodies and brains that are somehow intrinsically interconnected in esential relation with universal musical sounds and vibrations like chords and notes and beats and vocals and drums and other melodic instrumentations and even lyrics all laced and coalesced here inside of us and all around us as well as within this reality and other dimensions all existing intertwined simultaneously?!

For some reason this thought just dawned on me now after hearing this song for so many years but anyways i'm wondering if this is the real meaning?!

The girl who "left me on a stormy night" said to him "two outta three aint bad" meaning that he was cheating on her with two other women and she found out and wasnt hanging around getting used by him any more and so he couldnt have all three of them so "two outta three aint bad" like hmmm? i think so!

I think smell is actually the strongest sense linked to memories.

Quote:Why does smell seem to act as such a powerful memory trigger?

First, the olfactory nerve is located very close to the amygdala, the area of the brain that is connected to the experience of emotion as well as emotional memory. In addition, the olfactory nerve is very close to the hippocampus, which is associated with memory as you learned earlier in this article.

The actual ability to smell is highly linked to memory. Research has shown that when areas of the brain connected to memory are damaged, the ability to identify smells is actually impaired. In order to identify a scent, you must remember when you have smelled it before and then connect it to visual information that occurred at the same time. According to some research, studying information in the presence of an odor actually increases the vividness and intensity of that remembered information when you smell that odor again.

Sure certain odors like baked apples in the oven teleports me (meaning immediately brings to the surface distant memories) back into my grandmothers kitchen like around thirty five years ago but i think that music and songs still have a more profound ability than even that?!
