(Reuters) - A U-2 spy plane caused a computer glitch at a California air traffic control center that led officials to halt takeoffs on Wednesday at several airports in the Southwestern United States and ground planes bound for the region from other parts of the country, NBC reported on Saturday.

The computer problem at a Federal Aviation Administration center slowed the journeys of tens of thousands of arriving and departing passengers at Los Angeles International Airport, one of the busiest in the country.

I dunno, I think something more sinister. No way a U2 based at Edwards never flew through LAX airspace since the '50s when the planes first came into use. No way could it shut down the FAA when it isn't even equipped with radar jamming technology.

This was a test run? EMP test run? And what might it have to do with MH370?

I doubt it's the first time a spy plane has flown over an airport 13.gif I don't see how this incident would "fry" the computers. I think they might have some other problems...

lol.gif Shuts down everything.
When you look for success stories of this admin, shutting down the National parks actually worked. Of course, it cost more to shut them down than keep them open, but when you're looking for success, you have to do a bit of cherry picking with this bunch.
