US military in no shape to face the grandsons of Red Army

Talking tough is easy. Defending Eastern Europe from a possible Russian invasion will not be. The main problem is that while US/NATO guarantees have been advanced to Russia’s sensitive borders, their military capabilities have not. In short, commitment without capability.

America’s military power has been dissipated in little colonial wars, just as Britain’s were in the 19th century. When British imperial troops had to face real German soldiers, they were slaughtered. Similarly, the US military, reconfigured after Vietnam to wage guerilla wars, is in no shape today to face the grandsons of the once mighty Red Army.

Cautious, patient Vlad Putin is not about to invade Poland. The real danger is what would happen if the ethnic Russian inhabitants of the Baltic states, Ukraine and Moldova rise up and demand reunification with Mother Russia?

Meh the US and UN will cave most likely.

And no one has seen the true strength of the USA since WW2.

You've seen a bunch of woo, and boloney.

I turned myself to consider wisdom and madness and folly
The wise man’s eyes are in his head,
But the fool walks in darkness.
Yet I myself perceived
That the same event happens to them all.

Some military demographics.

http://www.globalfirepower.com/

In particular

http://www.globalfirepower.com/aircraft-total.asp

You'll notice over 13,000 capable aircraft of the USA, some the leading tech feats currently.

Second is Russia with about 3,100

Please,read who is the columnist.
Quote:Columnist and author Eric Margolis is a veteran of many conflicts in the Middle East. Recently, he was featured in a special appearance on Britain’s Sky News TV as “the man who got it right” in his predictions about the dangerous risks and entanglements the US would face in Iraq. His latest book is American Raj: Liberation or Domination?: Resolving the Conflict Between the West and the Muslim World

How silly of me, I forgot that because they say so counts as the source even though they're using statistics that they may have just created as they type

Source material is no longer needed ever since people like Piers Morgan and Al Sharpton have become journalist rofl.gif

I think most people would not want to even know the potential power of any army.

Not being able to debate the topic because of the source is pretty limiting, don't you think? Does it matter if it's "true"? And if so, what media sources would be providing such truths? Ain't no such thing. Learn to discern.

Around 4,000,000 Russians were killed during World War One and around 9,000,000 Russians were killed during the Russian Revolution and around 10,000,000 Russians were starved to death by Stalin and around 14,000,000 Russians were sent to Siberian slave labor camps and around 30,000,000 Russians were killed during World War Two and all that misery and terror and taken by force death and destruction they experienced just within the past 100 years or so and reality is knowing how all that horror and starvation and widespread violence and suffering and war are deeply imbedded into the Russian psyche and its flowing through their veins and the same cannot be said for Americans in the United States and so like it or not admit it or not this threads headline is very true indeed...
