Rly? I was quite impressed by her talent and expertise in handling the guitar. She started when she was 17 years old.

Congrats to Carole King, but why the hell did it take half a century? 13.gif

She was my absolute fav female singer/songwriter when in my teens.

Boy, everyone is getting into the act.

This guy played here last weekend, I didn't see him, didn't know he was in town. But he played at a native Powow and I hear it was quite emotional for all

I've never been into Canadian western singers when I was young, but I sure can appreciate that music now. I read he was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame and also sang songs of and for the working man. thumbsup.gif

Quote:BC Cowboy Heritage Society is very selective when picking entertainers for the Kamloops Cowboy Festival and other Annual Cowboy Concerts and we do insist on true western music. We also look for original material as much as possible - Gary is one of the few performers that has been back repeatedly, and is always on the list for future events.

I've always liked Fjellgaard. But yeah, like the rock n roll better chuckle.gif

This singer was a big part of music growing up and this song of hers is especially good. Keshagesh means 'Greedy guts'

Yes, she is really good and I like the content of that song.

The closest to country that I liked, was Gordon Lightfoot and Ronnie Hawkins, who I think I saw at a club in the 70s, but it's flurry and blurry.

I always liked Featherfoot (I still don't know why we called him thatchuckle.gif )

Susan Jacks has a tremedous voice, she's still singing too

This one always makes me cry chuckle.gif
