How about some Beatles?

More Beatles?

Hey Mister! Where is that Zeppelin going?

Why, it's going to California, kid.

What kind of man should you be?

What did Wednesday say to Thursday?

Well, now that Tuesday's gone, who does she talk to?

The greatest song ever without lyrics.

I am not your rolling wheels, I am the highway
I am not your carpet ride I am the sky
I am not your blowing wind, I am the lightning
I am not your autumn moon, I am the night
The night

And a few for special mention.

Warren Haynes

U-Who?

Hey Joe

Where do Rock and Roll cowboys ride?
On the Glory Road, of course.

The original of that one

And, if you will excuse me, I've got dream to remember.

I am not your rolling wheels, I am the highway
I am not your carpet ride I am the sky
I am not your blowing wind, I am the lightning
I am not your autumn moon, I am the night
The night

Sweet Waves
curling
coming in

the wave
not in your way

imagine
they come
to convey

serene power of beauty
foam filled
breeze tossed
speechless
yet speaking
in their soothing way

lifting you
floating
washing over you
listen,,
they comfort you
as care slips away

~~~~~~~~End~~~~~~~~
If a Classic is to be told
if one among others
shall be thy hold
This ,, as few others
brings heart to bold
Above text, my own
~~~~~~~~~~~~ better yet, yet no better yet~~~~~~~

Free will of the Wind
gives expression within
it's free spirit
to blow
by choice of it's own

Wind of Change
by it's right
Wind shall Change
by it's might
and yet love you
when it surrounds

Wind blown ocean
waves as they
crash with moans
on the shore
when no one's around

Sea Mist caressing skin
feel love swell within
be still, and bring your love home,

Sun Sets rainbow colored
sky
winged gull glides by
and the Sand so warm
gives solitude a home
where it's smile
paints deep in our eyes

Grove above on the hill
Lagoon below in the glint
of sunbeams prancing
will fill,, your heart
with ecstatic dancing

Over comes calming
flowing over me
i am home
by this Sea
of love and tranquility

~~~~~~~~~~END~~~~~~~~~~
again
Text above
My own
again, Song below
Beautiful gift
EL&P! yay.gif
Spent hours and hours as a kid,
just looking and looking at the cover
of the "Tarkus" album...so disturbing,
so absolutely fascinating.
Oh, and the Talking Heads!
Had all forgotten about them.
This was my favourite song from them:
Still is!
A lot of the album covers I looked at were mainly psychaedelic in nature and I didn't let bother me too much because it was in keeping with the drug induced fantasy/denial late 60s, early 70's and yes 80's 'me' generation thing.
However, the covers depicting war and human misery were certainly disturbing, in that, dragging a young person's mind to accept the reality of this world, or if one was into drugs then, then just dismissing it.
Seeing it on video is very disturbing to me. Imagine what the soldiers and people went through actually living through it.
I recall every image shown in the above Video
i watched it on the news. growing up.
it formed an anti-war mentality
I sit with Special forces team members
back from our latest slaughter
they tell of events
Today, to my knowledge ( for i do not watch the news)
There is no front line coverage coming out of the war zones <---<< plural you may note
The stories i have heard, if filmed
and put in peoples faces on their brain slave machine TV
this FAT ASS country
would bust this war shït DOWN.
Cy, I listen to the atrocities happening in Syria and the result is all talk and sanctions. We may be progressing into a more desensitized state what with all the economic woes most of us have to face.
----
One of the album covers I liked to look at was The Beatles, St. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band...I didn't realize it at the time, but I like surrealism.
Allister Crowley was in the crowd for that particular shot. I always thought that was strange. Him and L Ron Hubbard were best buds. vic.gif
That album depicts the time the Beatles were experimenting with LSD and the like, so are the people on the album their party buds or are they all lonely hearts, or both?
