"The Telegraph reports that the Roman Catholic Church has warned that the internet has fueled a surge in Satanism that has led to a sharp rise in the demand for exorcists. 'The internet makes it much easier than in the past to find information about Satanism. In just a few minutes you can contact Satanist groups and research occultism,' says Carlo Climati, a member of the Regina Apostolorum Pontifical University in Rome who specializes in the dangers posed to young people by Satanism. Organizers of a six-day conference that has brought together more than 60 Catholic clergy as well as doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, teachers and youth workers,co-sponsored by the Vatican Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments and the Congregation for Clergy say the rise of Satanism has been dangerously underestimated in recent years."

In other news: Researchers have discovered that Catholic Priests have fueled an even larger surge in Satanism through a sharp rise in pedophilia. "The priests make it much more likely than in the past that young boys will be sexually molested and will turn away from God," says a source from the altar boy's victim support group Vaticus Dickus Fiddleous. Organizers of the support group say that the rise in pedophilia has been dangerously underestimated in the past.

Damage control..?

There was a story about exorcism in the Lutheran Church
weekly newspaper over here the other week...popular subject,
all of a sudden.

The Ev Luth Church doesn't seem to have a clear opinion on this.
Remember in school, the Rel teacher was quite clear about there
really being "evil spirits and demons", and "not to meddle in these
things!"
Officially, though, it's supposed to be superstition, no..?

Muahhahhah!
"The internet" muahhahhahhahh.
Why sure.
Absolutely.
Just has to be the root of the problem.

37.gif Gawd!

True though, this is distraction. The priests are a fraternity of homosexual pedophiles that destroy kids lives, and ğck their self esteem permanently. Sorry, Satan as far as I'm concerned is a non existent scape goat.
They break the devil out out when they are in trouble just like another familiar entity breaks out Osama Bin Laden.
You'd be surprised how similar all control groups are run from the inside.
I say we get rid of the church, hire the priests as TSA workers and everybody's happy at the end of the day-37.gif
At least we wont have to listen to any more of the devil bullshit.

You have a point AS. In recent years, the Catholic church has also been downplaying the existence of Satan. Even further back than that, it has been extremely difficult to get an exorcism because of their move towards denial of Satan. It makes you wonder why they are concerned now. Are they admitting there is a Satan or are they missing the cash cow?

The ironic part of all this is the number of Protestants that believe all Catholics worship the devil.
