Quote:The Medical Association of Aragua state (north Venezuela) has declared a state of alarm following the death of eight people in the last few hours at the Maracay's Central Hospital because of an unidentified virus or bacteria. The information was confirmed by the president of the Medical Association in Aragua state, Angel Sarmiento. He explained that four adults and four children died less than 72 hours after being admitted with the same symptoms, including a 40 C-fever, general discomfort, and skin rashes that then turned into blisters. Sarmiento ruled out the possibility that the deaths were caused by Ebola infection, as reported on social networks. Chikungunya fever and dengue virus were also ruled out. He added that doctors were waiting for the results of the autopsies to determine whether it was a viral or bacterial disease.

That's terrible, but I hope they quickly determine what disease it is and nip it in the bud.

Yes, it's a work day and so I went to bed early...early to bed early to rise...makes a girl _________________________?

The symptoms of this disease are similar to a plague...perhaps bubonic plague.

Governor denies virus-related deaths at Venezuelan hospital

Via his twitter account, @TareckPSUV, the Governor of Aragua state, said mass information sent via digital networks about the alleged bacteria was not true at all

Via his twitter account, @TareckPSUV, the governor said the reports spread via digital networks about the alleged bacteria were not true at all.

El Aissami did not confirm, though, the death of eight people at the central hospital, as reported by the president of the Aragua State Medical Association, Ángel Sarmiento.

"It is no surprise that the president of the Aragua State Medical Association, a member of Acción Democrática (Democratic Action) party, has been heading this campaign of rumors and terrorism," the governor twitted.

Well now...
