If you meet your soul mate the connection may never spark if you don't learn how to trust again.

“Those who believe in soulmates are found to be 150 percent more likely to end up divorced.”

In a new study by Brad Wilcox, a sociologist at the University of Virginia, 67% of women believe in soulmates, compared to 63% of men. Those who believe in soulmates are found to be 150 percent more likely to end up divorced.

I turned myself to consider wisdom and madness and folly
The wise man’s eyes are in his head,
But the fool walks in darkness.
Yet I myself perceived
That the same event happens to them all.

We'd need a clear definition of what a soul mate is, but I'm more logical about this than emotional, so may be better off asking someone else.

One interesting thing about all of this is differing perspectives.

An ideal perfect match seems easy, effortless, more of a destiny orientated thing, almost faith like at least in the other person.

Not believing in soul mates would mean more work, uncomfortability.

Some may say too bad you never met a twin flame or soul mate, I'm more about loving the other person and not paying as much attention to how they make me feel. I could have married several people and been happy or been just fine alone.

I wouldn't say JR and I are alike in the sense you imagine, I don't think we're alike personality-wise, but complement each other pretty damn well. Some freakin reality ripping stuff if you ask me. I had to reevaluate everything.
