A lot of people who have close encounters are questioned pretty thoroughly, and some are told not to discuss what transpired.
There appears as if there is some underlying fear of this type of information going widespread that could potentially upset the status quo.
Is there anything specific you know they are not telling us or you feel they know about but don't want to let us know about it. For example awhile back I came across a You-tube video where an guy who was either an archaeologist or anthropologist was talking about how pre-human/ pre homo-sapiens have more..robust skeleton structures, which somehow according to him means we didn't evolve from them but are the result of genetic manipulation. I'm guessing that in evolution it is very unlikely that a species that is has better/more robust health is less likely to replace one that is less robust and/or weaker than another. Of course this may be just me reading too much into it because all I can remember is him mentioning that it is ludicrous to think that we evolved from apes or a least according to our current models, and he was in no way trying to argue some kind of crazy creationist theory.
I wish I could find the video again but I pretty lost it immediately after I saw it..
