Do you see the little green circle? My friend David lives there. He tells me that the jet stream was rolling right over his area until he turned on this little ol' invention of mine.

In a "Hall of Fame Coincidence" response, the jet stream split in two.

The best view is azimuthal_equidistant, which they removed a year or two ago.
Try this one.
Go to the Earth menu at the bottom left. Scroll down to Projection and click on CE.
It's the only one to represent, somewhat accurately, the true surface.
Notice the outer bands in particular. What do you see?
