The temp got to 60f today and I went outside for a while. While we were all sitting out there, we saw our two bald eagles flying around. There were two falcons circling at the same time, but I'm not sure if they were trying to chase the eagles off or not. I thought so at first. Now I'm not so sure. But still! What are the odds? Then we saw what looked like our hawk from last year. Then we saw what looked like a juvenile bald eagle
We went into town for a burger and when we came home we saw pheasant across the road and turkey behind the house. Then four deer ran across the field the turkey was in.
ALL IN ONE AFTERNOON!
We also heard frogs and the geese, ducks and various other birds that are starting to return!
I am speaking of the life of a man who knows that the world is not given by his fathers, but borrowed from his children; who has undertaken to cherish it and do it no damage, not because he is duty-bound, but because he loves the world and loves his children… - Wendell Berry, 1971
