Quote:A new Firefox browser is here that's reportedly twice as fast as Firefox from 6 months ago. Dubbed Firefox Quantum, the new browser is available on Android and iOS platforms, but also on Windows, Mac and Linux. The most important improvement over any of the previous versions of Firefox is speed.

Quantum is much faster than any Mozilla browsers launched in the past and, according to the developer, and looks better. In addition to improvements under the hood, Mozilla redesigned Firefox's user interface.

I'm not sure how many of you guys are on FF, but this latest version is running circles around Chrome in speed tests, plus they finally brought back the forward and backward buttons, reload and home button with no addons.
Like it used to have before they fucked it up a good one. The downside is I used classic theme restorer and it's gone for good. It's always a trade off but the speed diff is noticeable on both my laptops and PC.

Faster than Chrome? Sounds good, I used to use it until they took the home button away and messed up the bookmarking a few years ago which made me switch to chrome. I'll d/l after I get home and try it.

I DLed it when it came out but have only just done anything with it. My problem with FF has been it not wanting to play media. If this one works fine I will probable use it.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

I got the update this morning, much faster page loading and I have a home button again without being in chrome so it's good. I hated that tabs page. It made you do an extra click to get to the home page.

Extreme speed jump for it on this old laptop, as long as it stays like this I'm staying with it. I did try palemoon for a while but had addon problems and it's snail whale compared to this new Fifrefox quantum. +1000 like and stars so far.
