What is the point of having a wedding night??

In the old days we used to look forward to our wedding night
The first time in bed was special occasion. That involved the whole village
All women young and old would bring little things to hide inside the sheets
The mother and mother in law would make the wedding night bed to make things easy and comfortable for the bride
And then the next morning we used to go back to the wedding house and inspect the evidence
Now wedding night has no meaning except for the bride and groom to sleep off their drunken stupor from the too much drinking

The heck...

OK, cultural differences and all that,
and I'm not the marrying kind, but
if there ever were to be 1 morning
I would like to spend free from effin'
family...

Video cameras, perhaps?

I am not your rolling wheels, I am the highway
I am not your carpet ride I am the sky
I am not your blowing wind, I am the lightning
I am not your autumn moon, I am the night

personally I have not yet endured the experience because I am still virginal.
I have heard so many horror stories from similar brides that I have always been reluctant to try
