Another month before the blueberries are done here. That's ok, I buy them frozen around the year. I can't live without them.

I cooked a good ol' Sunday dinner, big slabs of porkneck in creamy gravy with butter fried mushrooms, honey garlic butter roasted carrots and taters mashed with butter and sourcream.

LOL

I agree, and I say the same thing, only that the flavors not only marry, they have sex too. In my mouth! scream.gif

Interesting soup, what does lavage taste like, or resemble from other herbs? I took a soup making course from a chef at a college at night, once upon a time.

Update on seafood linguine: because hubby can't eat shrimp, there was something missing tastewise. I used lobster and clams and made a cream and butter sauce with asiago cheese. Hubby liked it, but for me, something was awry.

Great recipe,, never heard of it but drool.gif OMG.
We have lovage or Libbsticka as it's called here, it should do well up there...

I'm not crazy about it, it's better to substitute celery. it's like celery on steroids. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lovage

I've seen that growing in back yards of older houses, it was used more years ago than now.

My mom and dad have one of those in the back garden. I can't stand it, it is a bit like celery but more of a strong and nasty brother of celery.

Yeah we have that growing up at the cabin. Huge bush. It goes well in soups, but it has a strong flavor so use caution.

wave.gif Hey Unique S, Jay's correct, strong celery would be as close as I could describe lovage. I use celery salt and also chop celery pieces in mine. There are not many lovage fans, it's a tad much for most.
