^yeah damnit.. that happened to me on 2nd day & why i lost that one..
thought i had a fish on,then thought no,was stuck,then yeah it was a pike & it managed to get free when it suddenly zagged like that

one i caught on first day tho bent rod right over and i was still fighting it when friend managed to get it somewhat in the net somehow..heh.

We're avoiding the whole fishing sector and have hot-wings. We had some thunderstorms sweep by that took the temps down to comfy so we're actually using the oven for the first time in weeks

It's been quite a while since I've had a large mouth bass at the end of my rod.  chuckle.gif
Mainly pike and European perch here.

They're quite common in the UK but never caught one worth keeping. They get larger in the north.

They're so fkn good! It's even worth it to fillet 50 small ones and fry in butter even if it takes hours. drool.gif They're extremely good smoked as well.
