I can sympathize with you Octo being offroad country now myself. We have been fortunate to be able to get fruit and veggies directly from farmers, big and small, and now my local - very small - market will soon only be carrying local meat only and I know the meat will be excellent because they only carry local butter and cheese as well and it's really good (a very difference from the big market products). But now the only bakery close by is up for sale, so I hope whoever buys it will keep it as a bakery.

Right now I am doing a corn on the cob experiment where I am buying cobs of corn from different farm stands dotted throughout the country. The cobs of corn are all different textures and tastes.

It's a Thursday thing here!

Like Decaf, we have Döner Kebabs here as well. We have a local grill that makes a legendary Döner. They even sell their kebab sauce in liter bottles. They're actually pretty damn good.

I am planning, soon, to visit my neighbour a few miles up the road and buy some of her range free chicken eggs. I don't think I've ever eaten a fresh egg.

I made a large pot of basmati rice yesterday but forgot to put it in the fridge, so I dumped it in the bush for the raccoons to eat. It's all gone this morning.

Well we already relocated one raccoon and there is one left...we think is male and I'm working on my sis to have him relocated to a nice crayfish-laden body of water. She is being difficult about this one.

My sis has been feeding him for about a month now and so far so good, but if his friends start showing up, then she'll be doing her 2 a.m. trapping and releasing again.

Corn on the cob, again.

Yeah, upon reading more about it I guess it's not a very good idea to feed them damned.gif

I know, but all this wisdom falls on my sis' deaf ears.
