Pollack is a staple food over here.
It's gotta be your heat control, fish should be cooked quickly at higher temperatures for the best results.
Deep frying @ 350F +
Baking @ 425F +
Even steaming until the fish turns opaque and finishing it off with hot seasoned ginger oil.
Pollock is one of the best products out there and very inexpensive.
Just don't try boiling it like the British do and it will be fine.
Give it another chance!
it was frozen thin regular fillets
i like pollock,so was disappointed
i do have one more(3rd)package,of a different brand
& thicker cut
i'll try that one,as a second chance
That's why I never follow directions.
All I can say is that it's important to thaw the fish before cooking it and then cook it quickly at high temperatures.
