I went all out tonight and made Greek Spanakopita.
Ugh... so filling

Last night I deep fried onion rings and my own recipe fish, Alaska Pollock in this case. beercheer.gif It was awesome and everyone loved it!

had two bags of store bought frozen pollock
couldn't do anything with it
turned into mush while cooking
so threw second bag out
i should have known better
fresh caught fish is always the way to go

Pollack is a staple food over here.
It's gotta be your heat control, fish should be cooked quickly at higher temperatures for the best results.
Deep frying @ 350F +
Baking @ 425F +
Even steaming until the fish turns opaque and finishing it off with hot seasoned ginger oil.
Pollock is one of the best products out there and very inexpensive.
Just don't try boiling it like the British do and it will be fine.
Give it another chance!

i followed the package directions,so wasn't my fault
it was frozen thin regular fillets
i like pollock,so was disappointed

i do have one more(3rd)package,of a different brand
& thicker cut
i'll try that one,as a second chance

I just looked at the directions on one of the packages in my freezer.
LOL.
That's why I never follow directions.
All I can say is that it's important to thaw the fish before cooking it and then cook it quickly at high temperatures.
