about 20 bucks.. i never by them though.. waste of money..

a girfriend of my dads won over 100 grand on a scratchie.. must have been about 20 years ago..

we have family friends that won lotto (about 30 years ago), and got about 600,000 as they had to split it with someone else who got the same numbers.. everything in their life went bad.. massive illness for all of them.. it was like the money was cursed..

Powerball is now up to $600 mil.

That's $600,000,000...

I have seen all those people pissing and moaning about wishing they had never won. Ya know what I noticed? As bad as they claim it is NONE of them gave it away to get rid of their "problems".

I would like to find out for myself just how bad having tens of millions of dollars can be.

No matter who wins the gov gets half. Of every powerball draw. Lottery winnings aren't taxed here, won't be long though I imagine.

There is a television show called something like How the Lottery Changed My Life. It show a lot of past winners and the effect it had on their lives. Many of them talk about a "lottery curse" and how all this bad shït has happened to them since they won. If you pay attention you will notice that nearly all of them were low rent trouble before they won and after they won they had seemingly unlimited resources to act the fool. They brought the bad shït upon their own heads and blamed everyone and everything except their own lack of self control.

I think I would be in the 20% of happy winners.

Certainly it's in how you manage it. I'd probably give most of it away, just keep enough to be comfortable. And travel.

Yeah i'm sure it must really suck big time to suddenly win millions of dollars and not have to worry about bills anymore and be able to buy most anything you want whenever you want...
