That doesn't surprise me one bit. sad2.gif They're so eager to keep up to date with their virtual social media that their real life behavior becomes anti-social. Fascinating. 13.gif

My great aunts husband started smoking two packs of filterless cigaretts a day when he was around ten years old and he died when he was eighty nine still smoking continuously for about eighty years without any ill effects considering how he was killed in a car crash by a friggin drunk driving teenager...

Growing up during the 60's, I can assure you the teenagers of my generation were not coddled, but I must disagree with you, because thinking back when I and my friends were 14 years old, I can tell ya, that that age is way too young for life-experienced decision-making, common sense, or critical thinking.

what are you so angry about?

I'm not angry.

And from my personal experience, I don't think 14 is too young.

I barely ever went to school, smoked pot at age 10, had my own business in software engineering at age 13 and always took responsibility for my own actions.

you smoked pot at age 10?
should other children do the same?

I'm not saying they should or shouldn't, marijuana has never killed anyone and the tar from the stuff is much easier for the human body to break down than tobacco tar.

iagree.gif It's relatively harmless, especially for adults, but there have been studies that have shown it can impact the brain adversely if smoked regularly before the ages of 16 - 18 when the brain is fully developed.

I turned myself to consider wisdom and madness and folly
The wise man’s eyes are in his head,
But the fool walks in darkness.
Yet I myself perceived
That the same event happens to them all.

Uhhh...

The brain fully develops by the age of 23 - 25, not 18.

I've seen those studies, a lot of them either had participants which abused alcohol before the study or the participants watch a lot of movies/tv on weed (using weed like that dumbs people down).

Some people who conduct these studies don't even say how they did the study.

It's like the study conducted in 1974, where they pumped 60 joints in 5 minutes into apes.

It wasn't the marijuana which killed brain cells, it was the lack of oxygen.

Don't believe everything a study shows you.
