I actually knew all of that from numerous sources but nice to see it all under one roof so to speak.

I lost interest in most of it long ago.

There is still good music out there but it's not pop and you have to search for it.

Pop is awful and with two writers and the same formula, no wonder it's so bland.

Music, Art and everything that was once inspiring and beautiful has been reduced to the absurd, belligerent and vulgar.

It's by design.

A slow culling of talent and innovation in favor of conformity.

Conforming to the hive mind.
I met a Cherokee Chief.
He said that I was a nonconformist.
I always held that as a compliment.

Really bummed out about the destruction of National Monuments in lieu of bad art and anything named mlk or rosa parks.

Concentration of media ownership (also known as media consolidation or media convergence) is a process whereby progressively fewer individuals or organizations control increasing shares of the mass media.[1] Contemporary research demonstrates increasing levels of consolidation, with many media industries already highly concentrated and dominated by a very small number of firms.[2][3]

Globally, large media conglomerates include National Amusements (Viacom and CBS Corporation), Time Warner, 21st Century Fox, Sony, Comcast, The Walt Disney Company, AT&T, Hearst Communications, MGM Holdings, NBCUniversal, Turner Broadcasting System, New Fox, Grupo Globo (South America) and Lagardère Group.[4][5][6]

As of 2015, Comcast Corporation is the largest media conglomerate in the US, with The Walt Disney Company, News Corp and Time Warner ranking second, third and fourth respectively.[7]

In nations described as authoritarian by most international think-tanks and NGOs, media ownership is generally something very close to the complete state control over information in direct or indirect ways.

The majority of everything everywhere is the same bland thing over and over.

The few modern music songs I found actually sounded exactly as past artists/songs from the late 60's and 70's, so I will stick with the originals from that time era.

I assumed that it was just me getting old. I tried twice to watch a video of that EuroVision winning song, and I couldn't stand to watch or listen to it.
