My PC has been stuck for 2 hours on 30% gaah.gif What the hell, if not for this laptop with Arch Linux I wouldn't be able to access the internet.
Should I try to shut it down?

uhoh.gif Today must be the dread creators update. I've been reading about it, seems it takes 2 or 3 hours. You should go get some coffee or take a walk OP. You have a long wait.

Mine updated yesterday, but it took an hour and a half plus 5 or 6 reboots. After the dust settled it seems to be very stable so far. You're going to have to have some patience OP.

It's been available via Windows update tool for a week or more.
I installed with no issues.
Laptop took and hour, PC with SSD about 20 min.
Broke the functionality of Epic Privacy Browser.
Locks it up.

And deservedly so. How dare you try to browse the interwebs in private! This is the information age and they want all your information.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

Probably for the best, though they did update that to have telemetry.

It's quite pointless unless you game like Octo and I.
10 has the best Nvidia drivers.
Whenever I upgrade the forum I do it locally first to work out all the bugs, installing the necessary files to do so on 7 was a cakewalk, on 10, that alone took me days.
I had to install 10 versions of Microsoft Visual C++ from 2008 - 2015. They all still reside on this machine. damned.gif

I do play casino games for free on my machine and sometimes they crash and always are very slow. I don't know how long I can go on like this. angry.gif

damned.gif Wow, those don't even take up a quarter of the CPU and GPU that the first person shooters we play on steam do.
It may be time for a new machine.

Yeah, but that means I will have to work more than I want to. 15.gif But, I have been looking at the new computers and they are purdy, so maybe worth it.

It took 3 hours of downloading and rebooting on my laptop, but now that it's done it's booting faster and my fan isn't running as hard. Nothing seems broken, but it's nagging me to use Edge instead of Chrome.
