Poor manatee? It probably didn't even know she was there. Those damn things are as big as cars.

I'll not get into the fact that the whole "save the manatee" bullshit has gotten way out of hand and has actually caused great harm to other species because the huge number of sea cows has destroyed plant growth in many waterways which causes low oxygen, algae blooms and dead fish... You see the same thing all the time. Endangered species come back and become a danger/nuisance. Coyotes, wolves, Goliath Grouper, etc. Conservation is great as long as it doesn't get out of control.

SAVE A FISH, EAT A sea COW!

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to poor

OK that's good. wtf2.gif My poor manatee quip was more towards the fact that touching these animals with our bacteria-ridden skin may pose a problem. I'm not even mentioning the toxic sunscreens we use. Wait, I just did mention it.

Quote:

It appears that the skin, the largest organ in our body, is a kind of zoo and some of the inhabitants are quite novel, according to a new study. Researchers found evidence for 182 species of bacteria in skin samples. Eight percent were unknown species that had never before been described
