I'm intrigued by the way the artist applied the color. It almost looks like she watered it down to look like a watercolor effect in some areas, then in other areas she used a traditional painting technique, then in other spots just splatterings.

I'm in a self-study mode with impasto right now, but I also like the splattering effects...maybe if I combined the two?

Yes, AS, very fine, but doesn't she look....well....high with life?

Thanks for introducing me to this artist, I was unfamiliar with his works. He certainly painted alot of women of all ages, from all walks of life.

It never ceases to amaze me how some people are able to reproduce such fantastic realism with paint...

The part of their brains that enables them to do so must be receiving extra amounts of oxygen...

And or received an impact while falling out of a tree or off a bicycle or something...
