Some of you know my wife is nearing the end of her journey, but she can still make us smile.
In a phone conversation, she informed our niece that the staff at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center had discovered Ebola in her, and were using antibiotics to clear her up. (It was E-Coli, which is bad enough, due to a very compromised immune system.)
My wife entered the hospital on Friday morning.
The phone call to our niece was yesterday.
Today I told my my niece that if it was Ebola, half of NYC would be dead, and the other half about to die.

Thank you, WR.
It's probably the chemo that is killing her, as we chose to use conventional medicine as well as natural treatment.
I do believe the products from the below mentioned company did more than the conventional meds.
This is a story from 2013, about a mycologist, (Mushroom guy), that we chose to subscribe to, as well as some mushroom extract from Slovakia that my wife began using in mid 2012. (Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer diagnosed in July of 2011)
My wife has had a pretty full-quality life for about 63 of the last 65 months. Of a thousand people diagnosed the same time, she is the only one left.

Ok Ebola is a little funny 37.gif She's a tough cookie, your wife. All the best to the whole family and I hope she's not in too much pain.

All things considered, ecoli is the better option. chuckle.gif I'm smiling with you and yours for the ability to enjoy the humor. I'm thankful too, that you've had these five precious years to dwell in the fullness of your life together, Bohica.

May His Grace abound to you and yours, friend.

Ebola in NY would be tragic.

Ebola in LA? Not so much.

E-coli in LA would be AWESOME!

I hope the missus recovers from the E-coli soon. Any idea how she picked it up?

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

I asked that question of the hospital staff, and they told me, that even though we were both in the same places together and ate the same things, with her suppressed immune system, she was affected and not me.
She has a "medi-port" implanted in a main vessel for infusion, and they are testing if it came from there or elsewhere. Personally, I think it's from the hospital.

My blessings to your wife, you and your family, Bohica. It is difficult when an ill loved one starts getting hospital infections when they have enough to contend with already, let alone remembering the name of the damn thing. I know because my elderly ailing mother seems to be picking all sorts of infections and whatnot lately, just from visiting the doctor's clinic and she also can't recall the names either.

The hospital is normally where this type of thing originates.
Bless your hearts, I do hope this goes away with minimal side effects.
As we all know that stuff can be bad.
