Maybe they are using different writers/plots to get a feel for what the audience wants.

Mulder: A fresh look with wise eyes.
Scully: Mulder, are you taking your meds?

Mulder: Life has become a punch line.

far as i know the fans wanted the old show.

the first two delivered.

third one was so stupid i cannot believe that is what the fans wanted lol

if they did, then..
well there are plenty of stupid shows around without them having to make more.

even if it was supposed to be 'lighter' (for some unknown reason) it was not even remotely funny.

the ONLY thing that made me laugh a bit was the hooker.

thats it. and it was not worth watching the whole show for.

Just Plain Nuts.

Well I thought it was pretty funny although I was hoping they'd continue along the same line as the first two episodes. Only 6 episodes in this new season and I would have wanted to see some resolution.

Yup.

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to poor

There were a few stupid episodes of the X Files. You guys have no sense of humor. It showed Fox does have a sense of humor, and can lighten up. He was always so serious in the original.
Chill people. Give them a break. We have three more episodes to go where it will all be deep dark and dank.

i have an extremely good sense of humour, actually.
it just takes more to make me laugh for real than average sitcom-type
writing.

i have no problem with lighter side stuff.

but that simply wasnt funny. dunno.gif

i dont get to really laugh a whole lot these days.
i love it when i do.. laughing is one of my favourite things.

'silly' isnt really my thing, thats all.
no big deal. it isnt like it is my very favourite show or anything.
