We went to a rodeo when we were in Ft Worth.

It seemed more like some kind of ritual.


Especially when they started singing Deep In The Heart of Texas...

Rodeos are fun but I won't be going. I don't like how hard it is on horses, pound the crap out of them for 20 seconds and put them back in the pen. Also can't watch the bull riding uhoh.gif uhoh.gif

I have never been to a rodeo. I did have a girlfriend in high school whose family owned a ranch though. My take... Horses smell, they poop and pee everywhere. chuckle.gif

That's pretty much it. Hay burners. shitters. Add to that the cost of hay and fences and vets and farriers and supplements and tack and trailers and and and. pfft.

Yeah, horses don't much care where they drop a load. At least dogs smell around for a good spot and stop and squat. Horses wil drop biscuits while walking. That can really ğck up a parade for the marching band.
