That is a $400.00 sword. I got it for $320.00 on discount from Cold Steel. Plus $50.00 for ovdernight shipping. Hehehehe

When the zombies come en-mass, the only thing you'll have time to do is hit and run. (The Highlander way) A shield would get you killed and would slow you down.

Very cool! Growing up in the Midwest I was involved with fencing -

Mostly the white picket variety and the occasional barbed wire. chuckle.gif

Seriously, I bet it is quite aerobic. I'm sure it's a great workout.

Absolutely.

In those pics..... that was when I was at a two day tournament in Kelso, WA last Summer. I placed 4th.

4th place on Saturday, tied for 3rd place on Sunday with an overall standing of 4th place. My first tournament.

I doubt anything would come at me en masse in this neighborhood, but sure I'd throw the shield at them and run like hell.

It's not that hard. But it's definitely Aerobic.

You can practice with a stick as well. Sticks are good weapons too. But here is a video of the "Scottish Highland Regimental Broadsword" exercise we practice.

This is level "One".

Hell yes, that's probably a good idea to start out with a stick. I can see that being great exercise for a bunch of reasons. May I ask though, is there a particular reason the other hand is resting on your hip? 13.gif

Also.... Hehehehe.... It prevents the temptation to grab the other opponent's sword.

Besides.... it gives your opponent something to grab on too. Shields are good for short swords, like a Roman Gladius or something. The swords I use get quite heavy after a few minutes.

I swear to God this is my Brother's old room mate. His ass was so big that when he farted, it sounded like a duck quacking because his ass cheeks were stuck together with, presumably shït and sweat.

Would you believe he works for the Sea-Tac International Airport as a TSA Agent? His name is Brian. Freemason as well. His Father was a Master Mason and head of his lodge.
