It turns out one in three Britons have seen their neighbours naked through a window.
A new study has revealed the awkward situations people have spotted their neighbours in, including arguing, dancing in their bedrooms, or chilling out in their birthday suit.
The research was conducted, ironically, by blind company Web-Blinds.com.
97 per cent of adults polled said they had seen their neighbours in an embarrassing situation.
Nearly seven in ten people have seen their neighbours arguing, whereas 42 per cent said they have seen a neighbour crying through their window.
Only 31 per cent said they have seen a neighbour naked, while eight per cent said they have actually seen their neighbours having sex (by accident, of course).
Most people actually admitted to continuing watching when they spotted their neighbour getting up to something embarrassing, with only 27 per cent of people saying they immediately averted their eyes.
Of course they probably shouldn’t worry, as only 52 per cent of people polled said they had been spotted while gawking at their neighbours.
A Web-Blind.com spokesperson said: ‘It is clear from our study that many Britons are unintentionally inviting “nosy” neighbours into their homes to witness the most private and intimate events of their lives.
‘Taking some time to re-evaluate the privacy of a home, and looking into how easy neighbours can see through some windows would help prevent embarrassing situations in the future.’
