ffsi

well , what they tell you is that , it will boot up automatically
after it automatically shuts down and restarts

but it doesn't

some plug ins have those slight glitches like that
FRUSTRATING as hell as you just went through

I was born too early to get in on computers at school

I'm trying to catch up using an old tired wore out brain .

Well, CA ~ you are learning to swim in the mid-Atlantic with Kali.

You know, you could always load Linux Mint on one of those dusty laptops of yours just to have something to 'learn' on while you're cracking your knuckles over Kali.

Mint towers over anything that came out of Redmond regarding security. And, anything Kali offers that you simply MUST have, you can install in Mint.

Kali is really an intense distro that 99.9% of Linux users would avoid.

You've gotten the basic hang of Linux now, so I ask you...WTF are you still dicking with Windoze?

Hey There Daj

I have Linux Mint 17 loaded on an Acer Laptop now .
but , when my friend is here , we only get time to work together
on Kali about two three days a week .

I have been using the Acer with Mint , but at night I use a Toshiba
with windoze because it has three 9 cell batteries and last all night

the other laptops have less then an hour battery power

Mint is pretty
Kali screen saver has that Black-Ops dark look to it
\
\
makes it even more intimidating ,,, heh heh

My Big Dell Media Laptop had Mint on it
but the person who loaded it wiped all the Dell utilities and drivers
off the HD
so it wouldn't connect to the net , nor have sound , and a
bunch of other media problems

I had to swipe it clean , use disk and reload all Dell drivers and Utilities
back on
then installed freaking win Vista back on so I could partition the HD
with a Dell reserve partition for the drivers and such

now I can put the Linux Mint back on it

but crap , so many laptops
so little brains left

wtf, you live in a tent in the woods?

Why not plug the laptop into the AC charger?

Or, do I not want to know?

I don't have wifi at the house where I am staying
I have to drive down the street a couple blocks
and tap a closed business .
all coffee shops close in Portland at 7:00 pm

this is a Drinking Town , Booze only after 7"00 pm
so it is 10:45 pm here right now
I am in my vehicle outside the Coffee shop that closes at 7:00pm
they leave the wifi on 24 hours

Tomorrow I boot up the Mint 17
on the other laptop with the Vista on it .

Pic is from 1970's Vortex Festival
This is how I love to live

I have ac inverters already , got them free
problem is
I am online for 3 to 6 hours , and to use the inverters the vehicle
must be running , the cost in gas for that is prohibitive
as well as the vehicle would over heat like hell

so , I ordered two long lasting 9 cell batteries for this laptop
that last at least 3 hours each

6 cell stock batteries only last two hours each
My Mac last 5 hours easy , but it has a screen backlight inverter problem
that I need to fix , 5 weeks later i haven't installed the new one yet
Lazy as shït I be

I have the part to fix the Mac
I have the Mac apart and ready
but just as I got to that stage
Krystal Handed me 7 laptops for a gift
all of them needed some work
so
I now have them all running good .
then ,,, This Linux Mint 17 comes up and I
am probably going to be downloading it on several of them
for a few days
then
I can do the mac and use it
I have two batteries for it , both last 5 hours
this Older Toshiba I use at night is my Vehicle laptop and
I built it for a work horse , if I knock it over , it doesn't crumble like new ones
plus , big screen , my eyes are bad in the dim light .

Not a surprise, PM is making a big transition the moment. On the upside Vivaldi is good to go, it's out of beta and smoking fast.
Beats all the other browsers in terms of ram usage. Makes Chrome look really bad.
