Quote:In June 1888 the Turku-based newspaper Åbo Underrättelser contained an interesting item of news: Finnish missionary Karl Weikkolin had come back from Amboland in Southwest Africa, bringing with him “a mulatto girl born in Africa and baptised there”.
The girl was 13-year-old Rosa Emilia Clay, who is believed to have been the first African to be granted Finnish citizenship.

School books here still have the word negro in them. We didn't know it was racist until very recently

Absolutely. All lives matter unless you want to blow yourself up in the marketplace and take innocent peoples lives with your stupidity.
Then... not as much.

Absolutely. And right, left and my fave, centrist points of view. This is not some private club.
We'd prefer to keep things on a secular level. shït gets nasty quick otherwise. BTDT.
Nothing will ruin a good place faster than religion.
That's a personal thing.

That type of stuff is frowned upon. We've deleted tons of discriminatory BS. As long as one does not bring their version of Jesus or Mohamed into it, all is well.
It's supposed to be secular human based interaction.
You know, like intelligent conversation among adults should be.
