I appreciate that...a lot.
I need to find out where the bad patterns come from,
why I keep repeating them. Lifelong negative behaviours
which I need to abandon.
Geeez - 50 years old, slightly damaged and friggin' single
- looking for comfort or simply company is...well, not what
it was when I was 25. That's fer sure.
Got to laugh alittle, too.
I am my own worst enemy - by far.
The gods lead me into the arms of the best women on the
planet, and I keep fekking it up.
You might go look up Afformations. It can change negative thinking to one of positive neutrality in two seconds.
Basically what you do is look at an area where you want improvement and form a positive "Why" question around it.
So it could be, "Why do I enjoy
deeper loving relationships?" Notice that you don't have to be in a deeper loving relationship at the moment you say it. The truth is you do enjoy deeper loving relationships whether you have one or not.
By merely asking the question, it puts your brain in a search mode.
We know this method works because we ask ourselves negative why questions all the time. It might sound like, "Why am I my own worst enemy?" or "Why am I so broke?" Your brain will search for the justification and give you more of it.
So go ahead and ask yourself some positive why questions. They might start in the following manner:
- "Why do I enjoy..."
- "Why do I love...?"
- "Why do I feel so grateful when...?"
Just add your own positive desires to the ends to those types of questions.
It's almost guaranteed that when you ask yourself these question OUT LOUD you will feel different and perhaps instantly be lifted from the negative spiral you are feeling.
Do these every day and watch your life get better in unexpected ways.
Pray for me.
Your prayers have worked like crazy. Maybe one of these days I won't have any behavior issues.
