Interesting. There were roads, schools, hospitals, before taxes, but now low crime without tax funded policing?

Go figure...

There are no cops in this town either 13.gif If there's any trouble they come from the neighboring town.

There are at least 33,000 gangs with about 1.4 million members in the US and they are better armed than the police in most cases. It is too late to get rid of cops here.

I am not your carpet ride I am the sky

I disagree.

Either we clip the wings of the cops today or our children/grandchildren will be literally fighting them in the streets tomorrow.

Our forefathers knew how to deal with gangs. Although the biggest gangs -- like Tammany Hall are still around in some form or another.

when they're in town, and you'll be fine. chuckle.gif

I heard a bit of inside info on the guy possibly responsible (a Hell's Angel) for the 'Highway of Tears' murders, some 30 young aboriginal women who have been found murdered since the late 70s. Submitted the info, heard nothing back. Found out less than a year later that the lead investigator was RCMP and was fired and later charged with obstruction of justice for constantly shredding evidence that could lead to any Hell's Angel conviction. The gangs ARE the cops.

Most small towns in the USA that have a police dept, paid for by outside taxpayers, don't really need the cops they have.
