Residents of 11 Colorado counties will vote Tuesday on whether to secede and form the nation's 51st state.

Proponents of the ballot measure say it is needed to give them a political voice. They say the state government, which is under control of Democrats, is ignoring the concerns of rural voters when passing new gun controls and energy mandates.http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-r...-secession

rofl.gif Let 'em. Once they see how much money the State takes in in revenue and tourism from legal herb they'll come crawling back.
Those counties/people can just stick their precious outdated laws up their self righteous asses. I've certainly had enough of pretenders like them. coffeetime.gif

Marijuana Market Poised To Grow Faster Than Smartphones

Learn something new everyday. Upon reading into states splitting I see that Main split from Massachusetts, West Virginia from Virginia (knew that one), Kentucky also from Virginia too along with Vermont from New York. 1863 was the last time a successful split happened with WV from VA. It does look however that a few more would like to besides Colorado. Caulifornia and Texas have some similar goals and i've heard somewhere that southern Illinois would like to separate itself from Chicago too. I'm in WA state and every few years we hear about eastern WA would like it's own vote too as western WA is mostly blue while the east with it's farming communities and smaller cities is mostly red. Hopefully they've crunched all their numbers as the west with Seattle brings in a lot of money and really...I can't see the west giving up that much farming land anyway.
