NEW YORK (Reuters) - The FBI said on Sunday it was in contact with local police in the case of Miranda Barbour, who is charged with murdering a Pennsylvania man she lured via the website Craigslist and reportedly admits to the killing and at least 22 other slayings.

Barbour, 19, could face the death penalty in connection with the murder of the 42-year-old man who answered her bogus ad offering sex for $100, authorities said.

In a jailhouse interview, Barbour said she was part of a satanic cult and had no remorse for her victims, according to an article published in Saturday's edition of the Daily Item newspaper in Sunbury, Pennsylvania.

She admitted that she and her husband stabbed and strangled Troy LaFerrara in Sunbury in November because "he said the wrong things."

Barbour also said she had killed at least 22 people in different parts of the country, including Alaska, California, Texas and North Carolina.http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/sns-r...2592.story

How does Craig's List survive the constant bad press?

It seems like a magnet for horror stories.

Maybe too many people are addicted to whatever it offers...sex?

If anyones thinking about how maybe craigs list or any other list should be eliminated rest assured knowing that doing such a thing will accomplish absolutely Nothing towards slowing down or stopping the ever worsening lunatic french amongst us...

But then again whats really sad is how someone kills a few people and the public outcry is immense...

But when dictators command the slaughter of millions of people the public outcry is usually hushed silence...

Almost total denial of a terrible truth thats just too damn horrible for most people to face...

I didn't suggest Craig's List should be eliminated. I clearly asked how they were able to survive all the bad publicity. There is a huge difference between a business failing because they have a bad reputation and having them eliminated (by gov't??)

I know, thats why i said "if" anyones thinking about it"...

Anyways in my opinion this psycho b#tch is probably lying (something demented men and women think they're so good at) about most (or all?) of these claimed killings to try and make herself look real big and bad for all her sicko friends...

No one is thinking of forcing Craigslist to close.

A sicko murderer never can be trusted. They will have to verify how much is true and how much isn't. It wouldn't surprise me if they did kill more than one. Twenty-two?? Maybe, maybe not.

Was it John Wayne Gacy or someone else who claimed to have killed hundreds of people, but he was basically using it to manipulate the police. I think sometimes they'd take him out of prison to go on wild goose chases. Meanwhile, he was getting a day out of the slammer.

What is really shocking is that Pedro was released from custody in 1999! He needed some Agatha Christie type justice.
