do you remember the car you took first driving lesson in?

i took my first driving lesson in a four door ford fairmont. wasnt it dubbed "an old lady's car" ? it drove like a dream, easy to handle imho

It was definitely in my dad's car, which would have been a Buick back in the early 70's. One lesson with him and I signed up for professional lessons. 13.gif

After professional driving lessons, my dad found me this car. This is something like the Maverick that I really learned how to drive in.

I can't recall exactly, but I wasn't drunk, I swear... My dad taught me to drive.

I just realized I haven't read a Driver's Handbook in over 30 years. uhoh.gif I remember when it was like 20 pages long...the last time I saw one it was much thicker.

I also remember that I bought the mechanic's manual so that I could learn to fix my own engine stuff and every time I went out at lunch time and opened the hood to identify what was what, men would come up "all the time" and offer their help...could be because I was leaning over in a short skirt.
