Sorry I haven't been active here for a few weeks (with my usual threads on conspiracies and UFOs) as I have been kind of busy trying to register for college and some other things. As I mentioned in a post a little while ago, I have kind of got side tracked with my plan of creating a blog and trying to see if I could get people to visit who might be interested in my ideas and views.

One of the plans I had awhile ago was to create what I want to call the 'church of nihilism', but since such a thing would be a bit contrary to what people think of churches and nihilism I decided against it. But still it might be worthwhile to try either it or something like it in order to find other people who have some views that are not that different than my own; sort of like some of the people I have talked to on this forum. beercheer.gif

To be honest such a idea isn't completely new; there is the church of the Sub-genius (which I believe is more or less a parody of Christianity) and there is the church of the flying spaghetti monster or FSM (which I think is a parody of Christianity as well). I guess what this post is about is to see what some of the forum members here think of it. coffeetime.gif

Churches...not so much.

Hehh...organic resistance to the
POO/Archons/Illuminati/NWO/Bolsheviks/etc
is, umh, unorganized.

How about a free and open discussion club instead.

What is existence?

Sorry everyone for creating this thread then promptly ignoring it. I got side tracked when I created a thread on another forum on the pros and cons of nuclear power and got to long winded in my replies for the past couple of days to come back and check this one as well as getting sidetracked by typical other real life stuff which I'm sure happens to all of us forum mebers. gaah.gif

I think that is just one type of definition of nihilism and it isn't the kind I' really going for .... at this at the get go. I'm going for the more agnostic/atheism. Here is a thread on another forum where I asked "Why people believe in God" and from the response I got on this forum (and the other forum as well), I think it is a subject that is interesting/important enough to some people that it might be worth pursuing/spending more time on:

Yeah, I know what you mean. Unnecessary butting heads with the powers that be in the name of 'progress' can often be counter productive, even if that is what many people consider what the nihilist movement is about. To me is is more about the rethinking of traditional Abrahamic/social values of Western society and our over reliance on the status quo/cronyism that it has become. Or at leasr something like that.

To be honest when I say 'church' it is more along the lines of a "free and open discussion club" than a church church if you know what I mean. Just as some people who call themselves "Spirtual but not religious" say that their church exists in their own heart and soul, I think a church of nihilism and can exist however me and other nihilist see fit to have one. :D

I would love to, but the house I live in is in the woods and anyone/everyone that goes out to walk their dog often return with a tick or two on them and their pet. Even worse, since I live in Connecticut the ticks here commonly have Lyme's disease and with the health issue I already have (ie. diabetes, acute chronic pain, ADHD, etc.), I really don't want to have to add something like Lyme's disease to the list. gaah.gif

Also i'm not working, my car needs work, and it is difficult to get rides to other places; just in case you are wondering why I don't just take trips elsewhere to get outside.

Do you mean spaghetti or what the urban dictionary defines as a "sghetti", of which I would have no idea how it would be pronounced if I had to say it without hearing someone pronounce it first. Perhaps it is like "'C'-'get'-'te'".

"A sghetti is an italian who eats all of your food and breaks all of your stuff. The word itself comes from the word spaghetti which is their food of choice.
Sghetti if you don't quit eating all of my food I am going to deport your ass back to Italy! "

No I wasn't wondering. We're exploring our local neighborhood on bicycles and by walking. Unfortunately I know all too well about ticks. We have them too and they carry Lyme disease as well as TBE and I'm sure a whole bunch of nasties. JR spent several days in the hospital after a tick bite. I hate ticks with a passion gaah.gif gaah.gif gaah.gif

Yeah..it is kind of ironic because I have a medium size tent and some camping gear which I had hoped to test out in the backyard this summer...but from X-mas my sister got her what was 'supposed' to be a puppy (since me and my mom have cats and cats usually don't get along with dogs unless they get use to it when it is a puppy) and this puppy turned out to be a 1.5 year old dog (which they still called 'a puppy') who is a complete hyperactive/schizoid/jump on everyone and everything kind of dog and who like to poop everywhere in the yard making our front yard/driveway smell something like a port-a-potty as well as pooping everywhere in the backyard which of course rules out any possibility of backyard summer activity as well. But since the dog is 'supposed' to 'help' my sisters daughter (who is like 20-21 years old I think) deal with her PTSD issues (aka. she just happen to see her friends mother dead when she was 14-15, and now uses that as a excuse whenever she is overwhelmed/has an emotional meltdown; which I think is odd since I can't get a PTSD/"free pass" for any of the ƒükkêd up shït I saw as a kid/teen/adult but that I guess that is just how the cookie crumbles). And even if their "puppy" didn't like to poop everywhere, I'm sure it would tear the tent down even before I could have it up for one day since it chews up/ jumps on everything it can. But perhaps I should just focus on how nice it is to have a roof over my head, and not on negative things such as that. And of course we can't use the backyard anyways because of the ticks, but after living in an an apartment for the last ten years it might of been nice to have a backyard for once instead of it being only used by the people who have dogs here.

Sorry to bitch about it , but it is hard to bitch about stuff in a house where everything you say can almost always be heard by either the people in the next room or the same people as they roam around the house.
