WalMart in Monticello NY was listed as the filthiest store in NY State a few years ago.
Very depressing place to have to go to.
The customers look like they've lost at the game of life and the employees look like they're beaten too.
95% of what's sold there is from china, and with their massive gross-sales, they used to be able to bully suppliers with price-packaging demands.
They do sell Lodge Cast Iron though, and if I can't find one anywhere else, I'll order through WalMart and have them deliver it for free. (I'm looking to get two cast iron pizza pans, made in USA, and Lodge fits the bill).

I'm in my seventh decade on Earth. I know things.

Couldn't happen to a nicer company.

I've boycotted that place for years. It's like shopping in the gulag. (All the products have the same label and the lines are horrendous.) They run off the competition with low prices and when everything else is shuttered they jack the prices back up. There's something wrong with a place where you can put groceries in the same cart with tractor tires.

I've chosen to keep my money out of the big-box stores just on principle.

Haha, yup.
Someone should do that one in cross-stitches.

The same logic applies to dining on the road.

Never eat in a restaurant that also pumps gasoline.

Those are generally speaking off limits. I had the worst burger of my entire life at a Finnish gas station/truck stop.

We were really hungry so we devoured them quickly before giving them bad ratings. chuckle.gif
