The value was based on ad potential. With 900 million subscribers the potential was huge. The problem is that includes people that never go there any more, people (Especially teenagers) with multiple accounts and people, like me, that never see the ads. After you subtract all those accounts you are left with a fraction of the 900 mil. Then you are faced with the idiocy of basing the value of shares on clicks. It would seem that financial minds would have learned back during the dot com bubble burst that per click is a failed business model. Let 'em fall. I don't give a shït. I only ever go there to send a pm to one person.

I occasionally post what should be considered an important article or video. For instance, I posted the articles about DHS buying all the bullets, NADA and some other related issues. I cold have gotten more response from those sheep if I had posted about a shït I took. I'm done with them. They deserve what is coming and they deserve to have their personal info sold by Facepalm and the ap providers.

The amount of people in the markets at all is at an historic low, facebook has just about run it's course, Google+ and myspace are already a ghost towns compared to what they were a few months ago.
The days of social media are fast coming to an end.

I think social media will stay around, but I also think that peoples attention spans are much shorter, and people just chase the flashy things that pop up everywhere. Soon FB will not be "cool" anymore, and people will migrate elsewhere.

I agree.

Google+ was just stupid. I started singing up and got sick of jumping through hoops. I don't think I even completed the sign-up process.

It's a shame MySpace let the hackers and other scum get so out of control. Most people I talk to about it say they liked it a lot more but give the hackers and viruses as a reason for leaving. FB is getting just as bad. It gets even worse if you use any of the aps.
