help with the english language please ?

would it be correct to use the contraction of there and are as "there're" ?

It might not be correct, but I don't think anyone is coming to spank you for it. And why would you even want to do that? Replacing the a with an ' doesn't really make sense. chuckle.gif

No, and no.

It is bad enough with the they're/their/there confusion. Some people randomly use one of the three - usually using they're as a possessive.

Since there're would be pronounced the same as three existing words, you get my advice for any new but bad idea, JUST SAY NO!@!

It sounds like you are trying to spell out a southern shortening of there are.
