The trouble with the fast lane is that all the movement is horizontal. And I like to go vertical sometimes.

man. it's actually really tough to find a forum community that appeals to me.
the things I enjoy seem abstract when I look.
the things I like:
conspiracy, old-time music, phone phreaking, postal hacking, Off grid living, gardening, farming, reverse engineering barcodes....

there seems to be many a forum for each one, but I never feel complete. the old time banjo forums just can't handle my obsession with the mail.

I'm always looking to enrich my knowledge about gardening, and I love to give any advice I can share.

Here in the NY Metro area, the Crocus are blooming and the Daffodils are shooting up out of the ground.

This year I'm doing an experiment with Garlic. I have about 150 in the beds already, but I have 6 whole cloves in the freezer since November, and I'll be planting them mid-April, in zone 5 B. (Garlic requires a period of freeze in its' life-cycle, and I heard if you can't get them in the ground in late Fall, put some in the freezer and plant in the Spring).

Good luck.

I'm in my seventh decade on Earth. I know things.

another thing I am interested in is communications technology... I'm no expert but I'd like to know more about it. it is one of those mysteries that not many people know.
base stations, trunks, etc.

the end game for me is being able to make a wireless communications device out of scrap parts.

I sort of nerd out on the things I am interested in.

I watch two finger thumb lead banjo videos for several hours at a time if I can.
