I've been religiously haunting yard sales and flea markets and antique stores for many many years and finding some really cool items for really cheap prices (*-*)

I find most of the really good antiques are already taken from antique shops, but once in a blue moon I find a gem. Last weekend I found a round stone box with a lid (I collect smallish boxes of all kinds) with a mother of pearl flower design on the top and cut out lattice work on the sides.

As for resale shops, I like to look around now and again for yarn and wool, and baskets.

Most of our tables come from there, I would not recommend an old cloth couch or chair damned.gif but solid wood furniture is another matter.
There are many things to stay away from in second hand stores.
Tooth brushes
After Shave
Underwear
Food items
Toilet brushes
Toilet seats
Shoes
Bed linen
Just to name a few that I've actually seen around here. damned.gif uhoh.gif
