DUBAI - Iran's Supreme Leader said on Saturday the United States would overthrow the Iranian government if it could, adding Washington had a "controlling and meddlesome" attitude towards the Islamic Republic, Iranian media reported.

In a speech to mark the 35th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the most powerful figure in Iran, added that officials seeking to revive the economy should not rely on an eventual lifting of sanctions but rather on home-grown innovation.http://www.jpost.com/Iranian-Threat/News...ran-340770

WASHINGTON -- The Treasury Department took action Thursday against several companies and individuals across the globe for allegedly skirting U.S. sanctions against Iran and Syria.

With the help of the government in Georgia, Treasury officials levied sanctions against Pourya Nayebi, Houshang Hosseinpour and Houshang Farsoudeh. Treasury also targeted eight companies owned or controlled by them.

Specifically, the three allegedly took a majority share in a licensed bank in Georgia with correspondent ties other banks. They acquired the shares through a foundation based in the tiny European principality of Liechtenstein, and then through the Georgian bank allegedly helped the Iranian banks such as Bank Melli, Bank Saderat and others skirt international sanctions.

The agency also targeted several members of Iran's feared Revolutionary Guards for their support of Taliban efforts in Afghanistan.

The naval vessels aren't as much of a concern as seemingly safe Iranian freighters.

Why?

Because Iran test fired some of their Shahab-3 missiles from freighters. The missiles were detonated at a high altitude - just like what would be done to generate an EMP attack.

More than likely Iran is doing the military move in an attempt to lull the US to sleep. Down the road, they will start sending out the freighters. When they observe that the US is no longer tailing them, the next set of freighters will be armed with the missiles.

All internet will be taken down as well as electricity for refrigerators and everything else including gas pumps and ATM machines. Cars and trucks that are on the road will have their electronics fried, creating accidents and traffic jams all over the country.

Jet planes will fall from the sky starting thousands of fires. Trucks won't be able to reach them due to the traffic jams.

If you're on an elevator when it happens, that's where you'll spend your final days urinating, etc.

Doom? What doom? damned.gif

Well, gee I wouldn't write the US off quite yet - and it is possible to get out of an elevator.

It is unlikely that the Iranian missiles could go much further than coastal cities. 1200 mile effective range could hit a range of targets. But it is the Iranian version of the "NoDong" missile. It is hard to worry (and quit laughing) when someone fires a "no dong" at you.

The EMP requires the upper atmosphere be in an "uninitialized state" and the US has done experiments on preconditioning the Ionosphere.. I expect the result will be less than intended.
