Yep, Bohica was right about there being that particular episode on Twilight Zone. I just don't remember it at all.

Interesting. Rioting starts when power comes back on. damned.gif

Quote:Suddenly the lights in Charlie's house come on and he panics as the crowd begins accusing him of being both a murderer and the monster responsible for the power being out. He makes a run for his house while the other residents chase him, throwing stones. Terrified, Charlie attempts to deflect suspicion onto Tommy, the boy who originally brought up the idea of alien infiltration. Lights begin flashing on and off in houses throughout the neighborhood; lawn mowers and cars start up and go off for no apparent reason. The mob becomes hysterical, with terrified residents smashing windows, and taking up weapons, devolving into an all-out riot. Some of the residents take up fire-arms and shoot anyone they can.

Quote (aliens' comment about humans):

They comment on how easy it was to create paranoia and panic, and conclude that the easiest way to conquer Earth is to let the people of Earth destroy themselves. damned.gif

Unique, we don't hate Obama. Loathe and despise is about as bad as it gets. Seriously, he speaks clearly, enunciates well, looks presidential, and looks nice in a suit. The guy plays basketball and drinks beer, what's not to like? It is his job performance that we have issues with.

The problem is that he isn't focused on real problems like the economy, but on trivial or unnecessary stuff, like healthcare and CO2. Solving the problems he's focused on is making the economy worse. He is subsidizing green energy while making cheap energy more expensive. This takes money from everyone, makes everything more expensive, and makes the US uncompetitive with other countries, moving jobs overseas.

CO2 isn't a problem. It is plant food. Higher concentrations reduce plant moisture requirements. The higher CO2 levels are greening some of the deserts. We should be pumping out more CO2 not less.

Bottom line - Obama is doing the wrong things for the wrong reasons. If you believe the CBO numbers Obama made unemployment 38% worse than if he did nothing. A president shouldn't not be worse than nothing.
