Record Kiwi exodus to Aussie, no wonder ! after last night I might too

The Kiwi exodus across the Tasman has hit a 32-year-high, swelled by people fleeing quake-ravaged Christchurch.

Statistics NZ figures show 3300 New Zealanders left for Australia last month, topping the record of 2900 set in 1979.

what people (EQC , and Insurance Cos , the Gov ) dont get, is that no one is doing up their houses, so all the shops like my mate,s Guthrie Bowrons ( Paint and Wallpaper ) are doing no business ! All the self employed painters , brickies , fencers , landscapers , lawnmowermen , poolmen all of those small businesses are finished with absolutely no compo

sad2.gif It's a tragedy. 3300 Kiwis leaving in a month is quite high... Seems like the whole town needs moved elsewhere

Dang M8 ~ those pics are sobering.

It's miraculous there were not thousands of casualties.

I imagine only the folks in Japan know what ya'll are enduring day by day.

My thoughts are with ya'.
