that is the thing, what if the machine counts you money incorrectly? its got disaster written all over it..

yup.gif Mega hassle, and if it's small amounts is it worth the average customer to go through?
Is that what they are counting on?

It was more hassle then the 20 dollars,,,

had to go to main bank,,,wait in line,,,

then I was given long form to fill out and sign,,,

I then yelled that bank ripped me off,,,and give me

all money and close all accounts,,,YOU MAKE MORE

THAN 20 DOLLARS ON ME IN INTEREST IN A MONTH,,,

manager dude came over and pulled out wallet,,,handed me 20 dollars,,,

I threw form on floor,,,stepped on it,,,left,,,would not

give in,,,principle and all that,,,

later,,,closed out savings,,,only kept checking,,,

never will I use atm unless absolutely no choice...

end of rant...

oh hum..you will find many bank tellers only work part time. and if bank is taking money out of savings to cover od fees..that was given to you in a form of disclosure when you opened the account..banks need less and less tellers because of direct deposit,,atm's wire transfers, debit cards and on line banking ..and btw tellers are considered entry level and make a little above min wage

bloody hell.. its gone way too far..

Why would you give a bank your cash? For the 0.002% interest rate they pay on deposits? If it's for bills, pay cash direct, any businesses I deal with love cash and skip the taxes.

Every time I go to the bank the tellers are always pushing me to do online banking. I say no, the interenet is not where I want my banking info to be, not just my security but your job as well. They tell me they have more work and more jobs if more people go online. Why?

Good morning sweetie hug.gif thanks, that makes sense. Banks here don't hire personel, they're mostly contractors on 6 month terms, the turnover is high. Low wages, no benefits. Like me where I work, I'm a contractor and while my hourly rate sounds high, I make about $17/hr less than employees when you figure in medical, dental, pension and holiday pay.

in the summer we used to hire from emp services to help fill in for summer vacations..bottom line in banks in this country they are cheap bastards when it comes to employee wages..I know that is why after 5 yrs I left the banks and worked for credit unions..wages were a lot higher and credit unions are owned by the members hug.gif

I had a bad experience with our local c.u. sad2.gif I'd bought a piece of land with a loan from them, 50% down, showed the loans officer my plans to build a house, had all my contractor quotes (septic, well, electrical etc). I said very clearly "I don't want the land if I can't get a construction mortgage" He said "Buy the land" So I did and when I went back for a construction mtge he said "Sorry, we don't do that" So I was left with a piece of land I'd put nearly every penny into and couldn't build on it. I went to the branch manager, she just shrugged. rofl.gif no, I won't deal with c.u. anymore. I realize they're all different depending on the manager, but I won't deal with them anymore. Was a tough blow for a young single mother.
